Supporting the Needs of Students: What we can learn from the Bristol University Case?
In this workshop, the University's Head of Legal Services will discuss the recent civil case following the tragic suicide of a student at Bristol University. Bristol University was found liable of multiple breaches of their legal duties under the equality legislation to make appropriate reasonable adjustments for a student with a disability. Tristan Foot will present the key findings for the case and discuss the implications for Brunel. Academic staff and those involved in supporting students are encouraged to attend this workshop.
