Panel and Board of Examiners Training 2025

This session is aimed specifically for Panel and Board of Examiners Chairs and staff who support Panels and Boards in decision making and the application of University policies and regulations.

Attendance is mandatory for all those involved in panels and boards - Chairs, Programme Leads, EC representatives and admin support, even if very experienced, as this year both systems and Senate regulations for Panels and Boards of Examiners are changing.

 The session will cover the following:

  1. The Assessment Process and the Importance of Chairs
  2. Panels of Examiners
  3. Boards of Examiners
  4. University Regulations

This session is mandatory for staff members involved Panels and Boards of Examiners - Chairs, Programme Leads, EC Representatives and Administrative Support.

Aims & Objectives

By attending this session, staff will understand the role and responsibilities of a Panel and Board of Examiners Chair, and the function of Panels and Boards. Additionally, staff will be provided with detailed guidance on the University’s academic regulations and how they should be applied.
