Evidence-based practice
Firstly, you will be introduced to teaching and learning literature and how this can be used to provide a rationale (or not) for your teaching practices, paying particular attention to the work of Joshua Eyler. We will look in some depth at critical pedagogy and what this looks like in practice. We will consider various learning myths such as ‘digital natives’ and ‘learning styles’ and how to engage with relevant professional bodies and external organisations, as well as how to contribute to the evidence base.
