Supporting Students Through Data Analytics
This online workshop aims to equip academic staff with the tools and understanding to use data analytics effectively in supporting student success. Participants will learn how to interpret key data points, such as student performance trends and engagement metrics, to inform their teaching strategies. By leveraging these insights, staff can identify students at risk, tailor learning interventions, and enhance overall academic outcomes. The session will cover best practices for data-driven decision-making in teaching and learning.
About the presenters:
Dr Stephanie Baines is Senior lecturer (education) in psychology and CHMLS associate dean (quality assurance) for the college and Dr Pauldy Otermans is Reader (education) in psychology and director of the CHMLS education hub; our research focuses on AI in education and authentic assessment.
