Fostering academic socialisation through peer learning
It has been recognised that academic socialisation plays an important role in creating a sense of belonging for all members of Brunel Business School; both staff and students alike. We foster this process through PAL, a Peer Assisted Learning programme which has resulted in phenomenal improvements in student attainment and retention in the Business School. In this session Sue Hardman explores theories of effective development of students and also her experience of organising PAL for three years.
